So here’s a scenario, you’re working on disputing negative items on your credit report for months and you’re now ready to apply for your home loan. You’ve removed bad credit, your scores are high enough to qualify, and you’re told by your loan officer that there are still accounts that state “account in dispute, meets FCRA guidelines” on your report. The underwriter will not approve your loan until the dispute verbage is off of the credit report.
Well here’s how you can remove that info within 72 hours.
Simply call each credit bureau and request it removed from your report… Yes it’s that easy. The only condition is that your disputes have to be completed prior to the removal. So you need to give yourself 30 days prior to making your home loan application as the disputes take a month to process. Once they are completed, and you still have negative accounts on the report that weren’t deleted through the disputes, you must then remove the notation that they were disputed.
